Technology @ Core

Yatra.com is a technology driven online travel business. Therefore technology is at the core of all our business functions. Our online reservation systems for B2C, B2B and B2E channels are powered by very complex real-time APIs and transactional data stores which require extreme scalability and availability. The products we build to power reservation systems are integrated with complex global distribution systems and central reservation systems of airlines and hotels. Besides we have our own marketplace systems for holidays, hotels and private airline fares which allow us to sell directly sourced products to our customers. Our Site Reliability Engineering systems have a high degree of observability, traceability and recoverability achieved through advanced monitoring and alerting systems built on modern tech-stack and components sourced from the open-source community. These systems have intricate automation scripting that reduces our daily toil. Our DevSecOps systems are built for continuous integration and delivery. Every engineering team builds software with a high degree of test automation for enabling continuous delivery of their products. This in tandem with various quality gates and automation in the DevSecOps pipeline empower our developers to provision their products with minimal assistance from technology operations' teams.

Leadership @ Heart

Work @ Yatra is all about developing people and helping others reach their full potential. We make this possible by nurturing leadership at all levels of the tech organization. At the outset, we have no 'managers' or 'bosses' in our teams. We only have 'leaders' who demonstrate thought leadership on various levels of technology and collaborative working in a distributed team setup. The leaders are also divided into two categories - 'enablers' and 'producers'. Enablers are expected to coach, guide and drive product development whereas producers are expected to be hands-on engineering and product development experts working in individual contributor roles.

All our technology and product development members have a well defined upskilling roadmap. It is mandatory for each individual to define their own upskilling roadmap and achieve these goals on a periodic basis. As an organization we are nurturing talent and motivating our people by sponsoring most of the upskilling costs as well as arranging avenues of continuous learning and development for our people. Our Development Centre

  • Gurugram - Delhi NCR Region

    Our Gururgram development center is a part of our corporate headquarters in Udyog Vihar. The office location is easily accessible for our associates coming from Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon due to its proximity to the NH8. The office is a 5 minutes walk to the hip and happening DLF Cyberhub which is home to popular restaurants, pubs and dine-outs. The office is also well connected to the Gurugram metro and Delhi metro with office shuttles.

  • Bengaluru -Koramangala

    Our Bengaluru development center is based in the Koramangala area. Cosmopolitan Koramangala is popular with young tech workers and students, due to the many IT companies and colleges in the area. Hip restaurants and rooftop bars cluster around 80 Feet Main Road, while the streets around Jyoti Nivas College are also known for trendy stores selling funky clothes and accessories. The development center houses our technology teams for hotel and holidays products, marketplaces and supplier ecosystems.

  • Kochi - Infopark

    Our Kochi development center is a brand new January 2022 entry into our development center network in India. The development center is located in Infopark, Kochi. The campus is spread over 260 acres (105.2 ha) of lush green landscape across two phases, housing 450 companies which employ more than 50,000 professionals. Infopark is 10 kilometres (~ 6 miles) from downtown Kochi and 22 kilometres (~14 miles) from the Kochi International Airport. The development center is in the process of hiring in 2022 and is looking at a capacity of about 100 engineers in phase 1 of 2022. The development teams here will work on B2B selling platforms and mid-office/back-office systems.
